Maintenance Storeroom Clerk

About the role

The Maintenance Storeroom Clerk is a key position within our manufacturing group. You will be responsible for parts room development and control, warehouse and inventory of maintenance parts, inventory accuracy and integrity with CMMS utilization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the parts room
• Manage and control warehouse and inventory of maintenance parts
• Ensure inventory accuracy and integrity using CMMS
• Order or repair parts generated by the CMMS system and requisitioned by technicians and shift supervisors
• Receive replacement parts, supplies, and miscellaneous shipments of machinery
• Conduct monthly and annual inventories
• Research and communicate with external vendors for competitive pricing
• Complete required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
• Aid in training new employees

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Proficient in English
• Experience in storeroom/parts management and inventory preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
• Forklift and/or other POV license/certification and/or willing to obtain one

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
• Must be able to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
• Must be able to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
• Must be able to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
• Must be able to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment

• Strong organizational and inventory management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of CMMS systems
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Pay

$24.02 per hour

Schedule

Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts - 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, schedule. Day shift: 5:30 am to 6:00 pm. Night shift: 5:30 pm to 6:00 am.

Shift Differential

Additional $2.00 per hour for Night shift.
