MAINTENANCE STOREKEEPER

About the role
This role is accountable for maintaining inventory minimum levels, parts re-orders, parts receiving, purchasing, and the restocking of parts. The position requires the ability to create and manage purchase orders, acquire quotes, and manage lead times. Mechanical aptitude for identifying parts accurately and utilizing a standardized naming nomenclature is essential.
Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory minimum levels, parts reorder, receiving, purchasing, kitting, and restocking
- Conduct quarterly inventory cycle counts and report accuracy
- Manage the creation of purchase orders (POs) for the department and blanket POs for annual support agreements
- Communicate professionally with mechanics and managers
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience (warehouse, stock selection, inventory)
- Proficiency in CMMS systems, SAP, Chase, and Ariba
- Clerical and accounting skills, including accurate data entry
- Ability to operate storeroom computer using software such as Chase, Maximo, SAP, or Microsoft applications
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Mechanical aptitude for identifying parts accurately
- Ability to work within a results-focused, team-based culture
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and days to support business needs
