Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency repair needs during production and perform scheduled maintenance during downtime.
- Set up and prepare machinery for production runs.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain production equipment; replace faulty components and make necessary adjustments for proper operation.
- Modify machine tools to meet production requirements.
- Use machine tools to fabricate parts, working from blueprints or existing components.
- Measure and audit parts for accuracy using various gauges and measuring tools.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting equipment performance, productivity, quality, or safety.
- Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to complete maintenance tasks.
- Comply with OSHA health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training preferred, especially with high-speed manufacturing equipment.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in production machine maintenance.
- Familiarity with electrical/electronic systems, PLCs, pneumatics, mechanical troubleshooting, blueprint reading, and SPC.
- Able to read schematics and use various measuring techniques and tools.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Physical Demands
- Frequent walking;
- Sometimes standing, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, or crawling;
- Regular lifting of up to 10 lbs;
- Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs;
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment
- Required to wear safety glasses and steel-toe shoes in designated areas.
- Work may involve exposure to noise, dust, and fluctuating temperatures.
- Some tasks require the use of protective gear per OSHA regulations.
