Maintenance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs, and executes preventative maintenance needs and requirements for and processing equipment.
• Maintains Class “C” motor vehicles.
• Conducts weekly inspection and monthly engine start tests of the Company’s emergency generator substantiating its state of readiness.
• Creates and maintains current maintenance and expenditure records for each piece of equipment repaired and maintained by the Company.
• Informs the Warehouse Manager or Branch General Manager of all expenditures over $1,000.00.
• Communicates and coordinates with vendors to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
• Drives on company business.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the methods, equipment, materials, and tools used in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of light and heavy gasoline, diesel powered vehicles, and electrically powered equipment.
• Knowledge of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B30.2 standards for crane operation.
• Exercising independent judgement and decision making based on standard policy or procedures.
• Strong detail orientation and understanding of safe work processes and procedures.
• Proficiency in operating modern desktop computers, related software, and related modern office equipment.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite computer software.
• Practice good housekeeping of the work area(s).
