Position Responsibilities
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment.
- Installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
- Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment.
- Sets up and operates machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment.
- Fabricates and repairs.
- Performs routine maintenance.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail, safety, and quality a must!
Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a general maintenance or similar role preferred.
- Mitsubishi plc Omron Education/Training/Certifications: One-year certificate from college or technical school, or two (2) to four (4) years related experience and high school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.
