About the role
The Maintenance Service Manager oversees the maintenance activities within a facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage projects and teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality-driven equipment and process improvements
- Lead project teams and supervise lower-level employees
- Manage and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical power transmission issues
- Use Microsoft Office software and web-based applications
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management
- Facilitate training and informational sessions
- Anticipate and solve problems using sound judgment and analysis
- Motivate and lead a team to perform at the highest level
- Build professional rapport and positively influence diverse groups
- Interpret and understand electrical and mechanical schematic diagrams
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading project teams or supervising lower level employees
- Two (2) years of demonstrated experience in mechanical power transmission and/or electrical power or machine controls
- Knowledge of PLC and computer controls systems
- Thorough understanding of the SWAK (Barcode Reader) control system
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing label scanners
- Knowledge of applicable safety codes
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree in light industrial such as electrical, mechanical engineering technology, etc., logistics management or related field preferred

- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Presentation skills
- Time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to anticipate and identify problems
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical design, layout fabrication, and repair practices
- Knowledge of motors and motor control methods
- Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques
- Knowledge of PLC and computer controls systems
