About the role
The Maintenance Scheduler supports the Maintenance and Manufacturing areas through the coordination of the CMMS and PDM systems in the OSB plant. Key responsibilities include scheduling and coordinating corrective and preventive maintenance activities, managing plant outages, maintaining electronic and physical filing systems for all PDM data sheets, coordinating assigned projects, preparing maintenance outage packages for planned maintenance activities, and generating reports and statistics for process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities and plant outages
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems for all PDM data sheets
- Cook up and coordinate assigned projects within time, cost, and quality guidelines
- Prepare maintenance outage packages for planned maintenance activities
- Generate reports and statistics for the purposes of improving plant maintenance and operations
- Train staff on the use of the CMMS system
- Estimate costs of personnel, parts, and supplies for scheduled maintenance and projects
Qualifications
- Excellent time management skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software including the ability to create complex spreadsheets using formulas, pivot tables, etc.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form, with all levels of associates within the company as well as vendors and contractors.
- Ability to develop preventive maintenance strategies and instructions and implement in the CMMS.
- Ability to recognize maintenance issues and make logical, detailed recommendations.
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical / electrical processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Intermediate knowledge of the PDM system
- Intermediate knowledge of the CMMS or other maintenance planning systems
- 3+ years of Maintenance Planning experience in a manufacturing environment
