Maintenance Repairman 2 - Wernersville State Hospital
Description of Work
- General Repairs: Perform building maintenance, preventative tasks, and renovation work across hospital property
- Electrical Work: Install circuits, lighting, switches, outlets, and related electrical components
- Plumbing Tasks: Install and maintain plumbing lines, fixtures, and equipment
- Carpentry Work: Measure, cut, install, and finish drywall, framing, trim, doors, and windows
- Masonry and Roofing: Repair masonry surfaces and complete roof, gutter, and downspout work
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate tools and machinery such as saws, drills, sanders, and snow removal equipment
Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Work Schedule and Additional Information
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
You will be subject to emergency call-in.
Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Pay
Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,506.00 (before taxes).
