About the role

Honey Homes provides homeowners with a dedicated handyperson through a simple membership, ensuring trusted professionals complete work around their homes. The company is expanding to larger residential projects in the Dallas area, including exterior repaints, dry‑rot repair, decks, fences, bathroom refreshes with plumbing and electrical work, and more.

The larger‑project team focuses on multi‑day residential jobs that are already sold and scheduled. A project lead scopes each job and sets the plan; you bring carpentry, electrical, and plumbing expertise to execute the work to a high standard. No bidding, invoicing, or client chasing is required.

Responsibilities

  • Execute scoped work on larger residential projects, including demolition, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and cleanup.
  • Carpentry: dry‑rot repair, decks, fences, doors, trim, and finish work.
  • Electrical: install fixtures, outlets, switches, ceiling fans, and perform small wiring tasks.
  • Plumbing: install toilets, faucets, valves, perform minor pipe repairs, and swap bathroom fixtures.
  • Painting and drywall: exterior and interior repaints, patching, and finishing.
  • Follow the project lead’s scope and flag any on‑site issues that don’t match the plan.
  • Represent Honey Homes on site with clear communication, respect for the member’s home, and a clean, professional job every day.
  • Work primarily in the Dallas area, with flexibility to travel to nearby projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
  • True multi‑trade generalist: strong in carpentry and capable of handling routine electrical and plumbing tasks without specialist assistance.
  • Self‑sufficient on site; able to work through the scope without hand‑holding.
  • Flexibility to move between job types and nearby locations week to week.
  • Strong customer service skills; ability to earn trust while working in members’ homes for multiple days.
  • Attention to detail: clean carpentry joints, tidy electrical work, leak‑free plumbing, and professional finishes.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable truck or work vehicle, and standard tools.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • No contractor, electrical, or plumbing license required (permitted work handled separately).

Physical Requirements

  • Carry a 50‑lb toolbox 40 feet and lift 50 lb from floor to waist.
  • Climb ladders and work at height.
  • Kneel, stand, and work overhead repeatedly.
  • Crawl through crawlspaces.

Pay

$31 to $36 per hour ($67,000 to $75,000 per year) plus equity in the business. $1,500 sign‑on bonus paid after completing training and remaining onboard for 30 days.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. No nights, weekends, or on‑call duties. Includes 12 paid holidays and 13 PTO/sick days.

Benefits

  • Mileage reimbursement for travel between job sites.
  • 100% company‑paid health, vision, and dental insurance.
  • 401(k) plan, life insurance, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and a company phone.

Honey Homes is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status. Women and under‑represented minorities are encouraged to apply.
