Maintenance Planner Scheduler

Responsibilities

• Supports operational teams on setting priorities and resolving issues.
• Marks and stores parts in stockroom according to prearranged system.
• Orders parts and equipment, tracks inventory, creates reports, compares purchase orders to invoices, verifies physical inventories, locates parts as needed, and creates shortage reports.
• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
• Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
• Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
• Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify.
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with maintenance and company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills: Strong maintenance background. Comfortable in fast-paced environment. High degree of organizational, prioritizing, planning, and motivational skills. Ability to motivate and work well with maintenance and operations crews to solicit input and develop ownership of key processes. High level of computer skills (JDE, MS Office, Excel, Power Point, Word) and capable of learning new applications.
