About the role
We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring that our maintenance technicians have everything they need to complete their work efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assigns codes to work orders.
- Makes field inspections and determines appropriate job work scopes.
- Develops work plans for maintenance jobs with necessary information to allow efficient scheduling, assignment, and execution of maintenance work.
- Creates, uses, and maintains plant history and other technical files to include information in current job plans to anticipate and avoid job delays.
- Performs procurement duties as required.
- Stages materials and special tools as required.
- Evaluates job feedback to improve future work.
- Keeps familiar with current safety rules and regulations.
- Utilizes SAP and other computer applications to support the maintenance function.
- Provides technical assistance as required for maintenance personnel.
- Prepares reports as required.
- Performs related duties as required.
Requirements
- 5 years of maintenance planning experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
- Multiple years of SAP maintenance experience (preferred), including planning and scheduling; end-to-end work order management (cradle to grave); reporting; and in-depth knowledge of the program hierarchy.
- Strong technical aptitude: solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and related systems.
- Clear communication: ability to work effectively with technicians, supervisors, and operations and engineering teams.
- Thorough understanding of large industrial equipment (e.g., fans, pumps, and boilers) and associated components (e.g., bearings and actuators).
- Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used to maintain a manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to work assignments.
- Able to apply technical knowledge to identify equipment issues and appropriate solutions while quickly developing job plans.
- Able to perform basic mathematical computations involved in estimating and purchasing.
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal form.
- Able to maintain effective working relationships with operators, vendors, contractors, peers, and management.
- Able to read, interpret, and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports, and manuals.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Must be able to maneuver continuously throughout the plant to observe equipment.
- Must be able to walk, sit, stoop, squat, climb ladders and stairs, and lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds in weight.
- Must be able to crawl on hands and knees to access and observe equipment.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the production facility.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Benefits
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
- The U.S. annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: $88,480 to $110,600.
- Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, such as skills, experience, qualifications, etc. and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range.
- Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
- 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.

Pay
The U.S. annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: $88,480 to $110,600.
