About the role

The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of maintenance materials and services. This position coordinates with suppliers, manages inventory, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maintain optimal plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Review maintenance requests and determine scope of work.
  • Prepare job plans including labor, materials, tools, and time estimates.
  • Prioritize work orders based on urgency, safety, and production impact.
  • Clock with operations and maintenance teams to schedule work during planned downtime.
  • Ensure necessary parts, tools, and equipment are available before work begins.
  • Track supplier shipments, documentation, and inventory entries.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and update CMMS systems.
  • Analyze daily maintenance KPIs such as downtime and availability to develop action plans.
  • Generate MVP Work Orders based on identified needs.
  • Promote and maintain 5S standards in all work areas.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree
  • Experience with CMMS software (MVP preferred).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with maintenance equipment and supplies procurement processes.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance operations.
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
