Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
- Develop, plan, and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Schedule work for maintenance crews to optimize equipment availability and reliability.
- Plan and coordinate major planned outages, ensuring all activities are properly scoped, scheduled, and resourced.
- Support the investigation and resolution of forced outages and unplanned maintenance events.
- Establish contingency and priority work plans for emergency or forced outage situations.
Work Management and Process Improvement
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to ensure work is clearly defined, prioritized, and efficiently executed.
- Review and recommend improvements to maintenance and operational procedures.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and performance.
- Implement and sustain maintenance best practices in alignment with company policies and objectives.
Coordination and Communication
- Cook up daily maintenance activities to support safe and efficient plant operation.
- Communicate work plans, resource needs, and scheduling updates to all affected departments.
- Afford personnel, materials, and equipment resources to meet plant operational requirements.
- Support training and development of maintenance and operations staff as needed.
Budgeting and Reporting
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of maintenance and outage budgets.
- Support the development of capital improvement and long-term maintenance plans.
- Prepare and present maintenance performance metrics and reports as requested.
Procurement and Contractor Support
- Work with procurement personnel to ensure materials, parts, and contractor services are available to support maintenance work.
- Oversee contractor performance during maintenance and outage projects to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in power plant or industrial maintenance, including planning and scheduling responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of power plant operations, maintenance, and outage management.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Proficiency with CMMS, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze maintenance issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing conditions, and work with minimal supervision.
