Maintainance Planner
Dessert Holdings is a premium dessert company seeking a Maintenance Planner at their facility in Newburyport, MA. Key responsibilities include aligning plant standards with corporate standards, ensuring safety, material, people, tools, when, where, and information (SIMPTWWI) are included on all job plans, maintaining assets in the CMMS system, driving equipment reliability, and managing spare parts.
- Review and approve all incoming work orders
- Ensure all assets are maintained and include BOMs, PMS, and critical spare parts
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability through participation in daily direction setting meetings
- Create and publish the plant maintenance work plan for the week
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to set 30/90 actions
- Document all maintenance work activity within the CMMS system
- Support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program to reduce unscheduled downtime
Qualifications
- 3+ years industrial mechanical experience or a two-year technical degree
- Prior experience with Master Data and CMMS systems
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Knowledge to identify component failure modes and implement preventive maintenance tasks
- Ability to coach maintenance teams and leaders
- Must achieve HACCP certification and complete forklift training within 90 days of hire
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience with ovens, bakery, and packaging equipment preferred
- Ability to move about the plant, stoop, bend, kneel, and lift as required
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends
