Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks including painting, drywall installation and finishing, basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, machine and equipment repair, building hardware repair, and other duties as assigned.
- Troubleshoots and initiates repairs.
- Works with the Director of Facilities to develop approaches to maintain and repair all aspects of the physical plant, both interior and exterior.
- Aids in various project work as necessary.
- Utilizes accumulated knowledge and analytical skills to solve unique problems that may arise.
- Responsible and punctual.
- Works independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Keeps supervisor informed as necessary.
- Maintains a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all information and issues worked with.
- Performs other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident.
- Works safely and promotes a safe work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Walk up and down stairs.
- Walk/stand for long periods.
- Able to work on high ladders and personnel lifts.
- A high school or equivalent trade school diploma.
- 2 to 5 years of general building maintenance or building trades experience preferred.
- A valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Hours & Compensation
- Scheduled during the day, with evening hours required on a per event basis.
- This position is considered essential, reporting in inclement weather with the possibility of additional hours during inclement weather.
- The position pays between $18.50 - $22.00 an hour, with wages determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set, and internal equity.
