MAINTENANCE - PAINTER

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain all hotel touch ups and painting throughout the property.
• Work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays, and split shifts as requested.
• Arrive to work on time, consistently, and wear proper uniform.
• Attend all required training, safety courses, and office and departmental meetings.
• Report any safety hazards, ensure they are corrected, and assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Interact positively with guests and other staff members.
• Perform finishing work such as patching, repair, and painting.
• Select appropriate materials for the finishing phase.
• Maintain a log of all areas that have been reworked, including the date, type of material used, and color.
• Maintain the work area and common areas of the Maintenance Department.
• Assist with other maintenance functions as needed, including answering phones in the Maintenance Department.
• Respond to trouble calls in hotel rooms from housekeeping and guests.
• Make keys for the property.
• Knowledgeable of Material Safety Data Sheets and their proper labeling procedures.
• Follow up on any other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.

Requirements

• 1+ years of general engineering and maintenance experience.
• Hospitality experience desired.
• Able to lift, carry, and move 50 pounds.
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions for long periods of time and move about the property.
• Valid driver's license required.
