Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Compensation: $26 per hour
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and identify issues with equipment and systems, performing repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal functioning and longevity of equipment and systems.
- Respond to and address maintenance requests, including repairs, replacements, and installations.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment, coordinating with vendors for replacements or repairs.
- Keep maintenance records and documentation, including work orders, repair logs, and maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the facility, performing minor repairs and upkeep tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment and systems for events or projects.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and departments to ensure efficient facility functioning.
- Continuously learn new skills and techniques to improve maintenance processes and keep up with industry standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing and resolving maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Follow systematic methods for performing tasks with a sense of urgency.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Five (5) plus years of related experience; one (1) year of forklift experience.
- Technical or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician with knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with residents, tenants, and vendors.
- Basic personal computer skills.
Certifications & Licenses
- Valid State Driver’s License.
- Forklift Certification preferred.
- Ability to obtain certification based on job requirements.
