Maintenance Millwright - Pasadena, TX

About the Role

Turner Industries Group is seeking a Journeyman Millwright for maintenance work at a facility in Pasadena, TX. This is a non-exempt role reporting to the Supervisor, performing a variety of routine duties within established policies.

Responsibilities

• Installs and/or maintains machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and written instructions in industrial establishments.
• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantles, moves, assembles, and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines, and blowers.
• Aligns machines and equipment using the reverse alignment method.
• Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundations or other structures.
• May operate an engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
• May repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• May be involved in grouting activity for equipment base plates.
• Removes plant equipment, disassembles, repairs, and reinstalls.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Millwright.
• Experience working with centrifugal pumps, troubleshooting, rebuilding, seal changes, and pump motor alignment.
• Ability to lead the job in repair and replacement of large complex rotating equipment.
• NCCER Plus highly preferred.
• Must be available to work overtime and call-outs as needed, with a 5/8's work schedule (subject to change).
• No Per Diem; ideal for candidates local to the area.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
