Maintenance Millwright

About the role

Domtar, a leading producer of pulp, paper, packaging, tissue and wood products, is seeking two Maintenance Millwrights for its Menominee, MI facility. The position includes day shift and 12-hour rotating shift options.

Responsibilities

• Maintain machinery and equipment in a safe and timely manner to ensure plant runability.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as inspections, lubrication, and time-based maintenance.
• Assemble and install new machinery and equipment as needed.
• Additional certifications or experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding or related experience in the pulp and paper industry is a plus.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Four (4) years of experience in a related field and three (3) to five (5) years in an industrial environment.
• A journeyman’s certification is preferred, but equivalent experience without certifications will be considered.

Qualifications

• Self-directed individual with excellent trouble shooting/problem solving skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of the team, including willingness to participate in off-hours support.
