Maintenance Millwright

Description

Smurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) seeks an hourly Mechanical Maintenance worker capable of providing primary millwright skills for the West Point Mill. The role involves participating in safety programs, contributing to team efforts, and demonstrating proficiency in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Five years of relevant industrial experience at a journeyman mechanic’s level, or a two-year technical degree in mechanical technology, or four years’ relevant technical military experience for a Class 1 Helper.
• Ten years of relevant industrial experience at a journeyman mechanics or electrician/instrumentation level, or five years of relevant industrial or military experience and a two-year technical degree for a Class A Journeyman.

Pay

• Class 1 Helper: $33.79/hour.
• Promotion to Class C possible within 9-13 months based on performance.
• Class C: $35.89/hour.
• Eligible for Class B after 6 months.
• Class B: $37.42/hour.
• Promotion to Class A after 12 months.
• Class A: $42.62/hour.
• Final step to Class AAA ($45.86/hour) based on tenure and qualifications.
• Total Progression Time: 2.25-2.5 years (27-31 months) from Class 1 Helper to Class A.
