Solésence is a trailblazer in the beauty industry. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team and help us continue to set the standard for excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe working environment-focusing on cGMP, environmental and safety requirements as specified by Operations Management.
- Executes assigned PM’s and WO’s for areas of responsibility.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance inspections and repairs.
- Maintain tools and equipment used in the maintenance department.
- Provide assistance to Production and Engineering when requested or is needed.
- Able to work at different company locations, or production areas, as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness of Maintenance work area.
Minimum Skills Required
- Must be able to use and maintain basic maintenance shop equipment.
- This includes assorted hand and power tools, grinders, belt sanders and inspection equipment.
- Must be familiar with how to troubleshoot and maintain various plant and process equipment in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Must be familiar with basic mechanical design and able to read mechanical and process drawings (e.g. piping and instrumentation diagrams).
- Must be familiar with basic electronics and simple controls.
- Must be able to install and troubleshoot simple electrical services and controls.
- Must be computer literate and be able to use software tools required for the job.
- These include but are not limited to Outlook, Office products, CMMS systems (e.g. smart maintenance).
- Must be able to operate a fork truck, scissor lift and any additional equipment required to move process or facility equipment.
Powder Production and Powder Coating Additional Skills Requirements
- Ability to use TIG, Stick Welding and Brazing equipment.
- Ability to learn vacuum pumps and associated process piping.
- Basic knowledge of Chillers and Thermal Heating systems.
- Basic knowledge of Air Compressors.
Wet Process Additional Skills Requirements
- Ability to maintain and repair various process pumps (Diaphragm, Lobe and Screw pumps).
- Ability to maintain and repair various mixers and agitators.
- Basic knowledge of Chillers and Thermal Heating systems
- Basic knowledge of Air Compressors
Facilities Additional Skills Requirements
- Basic understanding of HVAC Systems.
- Basic understanding of Plumbing and Electrical Wiring and related services within Facility.
- Basic knowledge of Air Compressors.
- Ability to use Stick Welding and TIG equipment.
- Ability to replace and/or repair damaged lighting, electrical outlets, drywall or paint.
- Basic carpentry skills.
- Maintains Grounds
- Safety around exterior of Facility (snow/ice removal from walkways, removing litter from parking lots etc.)
Minimum Education And Training Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent with 3 or more years of job experience in Manufacturing maintenance.
Physical Demands
- Consistently required standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments, including noise, dust, temperature variations, including extreme heat.
- Necessary PPE to be worn when required.
- The employees' physical condition must be such that they can comfortably endure this level of physical exertion.
- Visual and auditory acuity.
- Manual dexterity for keyboarding, writing, and handling office tools and technology.
Personal Skills
- Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, perform tasks in a workmanlike manner and behave with a high level of integrity and maturity in all situations.
- Must be flexible with hours and locations and have the ability to adjust as necessary.
Compensation
The base hiring range for this position is: $25.00 – 35.00 per hour + $3 shift differential per hour. The compensation offered will be determined by factors such as level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
