Pay

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour. Shift differentials for 2nd & 3rd shift. Overtime available.

Schedule

2nd & 3rd shift available.

Responsibilities

  • Order and maintain supplies to support all maintenance functions.
  • Provide basic maintenance support for startup operations such as lights, dust collectors, air filtration systems, etc.
  • Monitor machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Design, assemble, and install electronic control systems for production machinery and associated automated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machine-level control systems, which utilize programmable logic controllers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance per schedule.
  • Communicate with operators pre- and post-repair.
  • Repair and maintain physical structure of the establishment.
  • Follow lock-out/tag out procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experienced forklift drivers preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, and leadership.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to use basic gauges and measuring devices.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, and diagram form.
  • Reliable, able to work overtime as needed, and committed to working at our Chittenango, NY facility.

Working Conditions

  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Physical effort includes lifting, pulling, reaching, manipulating, carrying, pushing, or shoveling.
  • Manufacturing requires repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms.
