Maintenance Mechanic- (Part-time)

About the Role

Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehab is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Mechanic for its Skilled Nursing Facility in Fountain Hill.

Schedule

• Part-Time/PRN
• 1,000/hour year from hire date not benefit eligible position
• Split Shift days/evenings, Flexible

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of principles, practices, methods and techniques commonly employed in mechanical & structural maintenance repair & repair work
• Thorough knowledge of tools, materials & safety precautions of mechanical & structural maintenance & repair work
• Ability to operate motor vehicles of various sizes, maintenance and construction equipment
• Ability to determine time, materials, equipment required to complete assigned jobs
• Ability to instruct & oversee the efforts of other personnel as well as understand & follow oral & written instructions
• Ability to keep record of activities
• Ability to lift, carry & maneuver into position a variety of heavy and/or unwieldy tools & materials
• Ability to work in close proximity to nursing facility patients, families & visitors, if required by work assignment
• Must have full use of hands, ability to stand for extensive periods, bend, pull, push and lift a minimum of 40 pounds

Requirements

• Education equivalent to completion of 12th grade
• 2-3 years' experience in equipment & facility maintenance or repair work
• Any equivalent combination of training & experience which has provided the knowledge, skills & abilities cited above
• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the Commonwealth of PA
