Maintenance Mechanic- Operations & Maintenance
Responsibilities
- Respond to and prioritize daily work orders from campus service requests.
- Repair and replace plumbing fixtures including faucets, urinals, etc.
- Repair, replace, and install lighting fixtures, bulbs, etc.
- Convert lighting fixtures to LED.
- Repair, lubricate, and adjust door hardware, hinges, closures, etc.
- Hang, mount, and fasten items, equipment, furniture, etc.
- Diagnose and investigate leaks.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on building equipment.
- Daily walk through of assigned building(s) and mechanical spaces.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of general building maintenance experience.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- The ability to move, lift, carry, push and pull 25 to 50 pounds frequently, up to 60 pounds occasionally.
- The ability to work at various heights on ladder, bucket trucks, etc.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
- Rotating weekends.
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include mechanical, electrical, plumbing and preventive maintenance experience, and commercial or industrial experience.
Pay
$18.50 per hour.
Schedule
Rotating weekends.
