Maintenance Mechanic-Night Shift

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and cutting on steel, stainless steel and aluminum
• Understand and follow safe work practices including: lock out tag out, confined space entry, ladder and climbing safety, hot work permits
• Repair pipefitting and plumbing
• Assist electricians with mounting and unmounting motors and gear drives
• Repair, rebuild and replace pumps
• Perform general cleaning within the production plant at times as well as all maintenance areas on a regular basis
• Lift, move and rig heavy/awkward equipment and work in tight spaces
• Repair, maintain and assist in the operations of waste water, air pollution systems and blending / grain silos
• Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner
• Follow department and company procedures
• Keep up regular attendance

Qualifications

• Autonomy is important to you
• Experience in welding and cutting on steel, stainless steel and aluminum is required
• Understanding of safe work practices including: lock out tag out, confined space entry, ladder and climbing safety, hot work permits is necessary
• Experience in pipefitting and plumbing is preferred
• Ability to lift, move and rig heavy/awkward equipment and work in tight spaces is required
• Experience in repairing, rebuilding and replacing pumps is desirable
• Experience in interacting with others in a professional and ethical manner is essential
• Experience following department and company procedures is required
• Regular attendance is essential for the smooth operation of this company and department success

Pay

Starting pay at $25/Hr to $32+/Hr (based off of experience)

Schedule

The schedule is a 2/2/3 working 6 pm to 6:20 am
