Maintenance Mechanic- Manufacturing

Position Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic position at Trade Products, a division of Arrow International, is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment. This role ensures high levels of productivity, quality, and customer service while adhering to company policies and procedures. The position also involves identifying and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Essential Job Functions

• Work with drawings, specifications, manuals, and written/oral instructions with minimal interference to production
• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical rebuilt production machines
• Install new or relocate existing machinery and equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and services to ensure safe and proper operating conditions
• Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials
• Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision
• Tear down, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, and adjust production equipment
• Train less experienced maintenance personnel
• Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education Requirements

The Maintenance Mechanic position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Stand/walk throughout shift
• Sit occasionally
• Climb or balance occasionally
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally

Other Skills/Abilities

• Mechanical aptitude required
• Electrical aptitude strongly desired
• Welding experience a plus
• Must be able to operate machine tools
• Must read blueprints and schematics
• Bobst and Komori experience a plus
