Maintenance Mechanic Lead

Scope of Position

This highly experienced individual, as part of the Maintenance department, will be responsible for assisting the supervisor in all operations of the department. Plans and directs the day-to-day labor responsibilities and prioritizes resources to ensure accuracy and quality. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in Menomonee Falls, WI.

Primary Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead a positive working environment.
• Runs the department day-to-day operations.
• Accountable for Dept. metrics. (SQDCI)
• Maintains a Safety and Quality mindset.
• Communicate with Company departments.
• Delegate operational tasks to team.
• Communicate with Supervisor of any departmental issues.
• Understand team metrics and review with Supervisor and employees.
• Assist Supervisor in employee coaching.
• Aid in onboarding of new team members.
• Ensure team adherence to all company policies and procedures.
• Manage ordering department supplies.
• Inventory management awareness.
• Technical expert and helps resolve production issues.
• Facilitate training of all team members on all job functions.
• Assist in creating and maintaining a problem-solving culture.
• Expert in all department computer applications.
• Completes industrial lift truck certifications.
• Takes ownership of department standards and appearance.
• Supports new product initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
• Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of previous leadership experience.
• Journeyman certification or equivalent recognized trade qualification in Industrial Mechanics/Millwright.
• 10+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of Continuous Pouring Equipment for Composite Production.
• Electrical minor or equivalent.
