Maintenance Mechanic - Industrial Manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility systems.
  • Diagnose and replace motors, electrical components, and equipment controls.
  • Support production by responding to equipment failures and minimizing downtime.
  • Complete equipment rebuilds ranging from minor repairs to major overhauls.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair documentation, and preventive maintenance logs.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, retrofits, and commissioning activities.
  • Work with vendors, contractors, and equipment manufacturers to resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Assist in maintaining utility systems, including compressors, chillers, boilers, water treatment, and wastewater systems.
  • Communicate effectively during shift handoffs and collaborate across production, maintenance, safety, and engineering teams.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, or processing environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase power.
  • Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and OEM technical documentation.
  • Ability to diagnose and replace electric motors and related components.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, including climbing, reaching, lifting, and conducting equipment inspections.
  • Ability to work overtime, respond to call-ins, and support multiple shifts as needed.
  • Ability to pass a Ramsay aptitude assessment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with compressors, chillers, boilers, water treatment, or utility systems.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with bottling, beverage, food manufacturing, or high-speed production equipment.
  • Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as SAP.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance and reliability programs.
