Maintenance Mechanic III (Full Time)

Position Details

The Maintenance Mechanic III at Mercy requires 4 or more years of commercial experience working with electrical, plumbing, pneumatic tube systems, beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers. This position supports large hospital campuses and ensures a safe working environment while supporting an exceptional Environment of Care for Mercy.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Education: None
• Licensure: Must maintain a valid drivers license
• Experience: 4 or more years commercial experience working with any of the following equipment: Electrical, plumbing, pneumatic tube systems, beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Certification/Registration: Other

Skills and Knowledge

• Requires oral and written communication skills to communicate with customers and follow instructions.
• Numerical ability required to make calculations for testing, installation, measurement, estimation and repair of equipment.
• Form perception is required when measuring and installing parts and equipment.
• Spatial ability required to understand forms and relationships when working from blueprints or specifications.
• Knowledge and use of various computer software such as Outlook, TMS and or Nuvolo.
• Ability to manage time and materials efficiently.
• Completes work assignments in a high-quality manner and the lowest cost to Mercy.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to achieve department goals.
• General manual dexterity, basic math knowledge, and mechanical aptitude.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, electric shock, and loud noise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 or more years of training in a Technical or Vocational School.
• Licensure: Electrical and/or Plumbing Experience: 5 or more years working in a facility maintenance position within a healthcare environment.
• Certification/Registration: ASSE 6040 training for medical gas maintenance
