Maintenance Mechanic III

Responsibilities

• Preventative and corrective maintenance of hospital mechanical systems.
• Documenting all required Regulatory inspections as assigned.
• Working independently to respond to internal disasters and document responses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, including compressed gas, potable water, drain-waste-vent systems, steam and condensate systems, electrical generation, distribution and utilization systems and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, identify and repair various mechanical equipment without assistance.
• Active Journeyman's License in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or equivalent required.
• Over five (5+) years experience in electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance experience.
• Over ten (10+) years experience in hospital mechanical maintenance work preferred.

Skills

• Professional communication skills.
• Computer skills using Microsoft based programs.
• Navigation and use of the Facilities CMMS.
• Reading and understanding blueprints, schematic diagrams and drawings.
• Interpreting instructions and preparing simple specifications.
• Extensive knowledge of common mechanical tools and test equipment.
• Knowledge of and adherence to general safety procedures and regulations.
