Responsibilities
- Preventative and corrective maintenance of hospital mechanical systems.
- Documenting all required Regulatory inspections as assigned.
- Working independently to respond to internal disasters and document responses.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, including compressed gas, potable water, drain-waste-vent systems, steam and condensate systems, electrical generation, distribution and utilization systems and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot, identify and repair various mechanical equipment without assistance.
- Active Journeyman's License in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or equivalent required.
- Over five (5+) years experience in electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance experience.
- Over ten (10+) years experience in hospital mechanical maintenance work preferred.
Skills
- Professional communication skills.
- Computer skills using Microsoft based programs.
- Navigation and use of the Facilities CMMS.
- Reading and understanding blueprints, schematic diagrams and drawings.
- Interpreting instructions and preparing simple specifications.
- Extensive knowledge of common mechanical tools and test equipment.
- Knowledge of and adherence to general safety procedures and regulations.
