Maintenance Mechanic III
About the role
As the Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment and building components. Working alongside the Engineering Manager, you will diagnose problems, offer solutions, and act to ensure the safety, care, and comfort of staff and patients. You will perform a variety of skilled maintenance, including: repairs to machinery, equipment or facilities; preventive maintenance on hospital and plant equipment; execution of miscellaneous work orders and answering trouble calls; accurate documentation and maintenance of records for the facility; routine electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance; and assisting in ordering parts and supplies needed for maintenance.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Experience: 5 years experience in a large commercial industrial or health care facility as an electrician, HVAC and Plant Operator, or plumber with general and structural maintenance, modification, renovation and interior construction; previous experience in general maintenance in a hospital or similar institution – preferred
- Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; technical, vocational or other equivalent education – preferred
- Certifications: Licensed or certified in HVAC, Electrical, Plant Operations or Maintenance field – preferred

Skills
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is essential. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing equipment issues is required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
