Maintenance Mechanic II (Rover)

About the role

Under minimal supervision, performs the functions necessary to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install and rebuild production equipment and associated machinery.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs machinery as needed.
• Rebuilds pumps, gear reducers and other process equipment.
• Works with PVC, fiber cast and FRP piping.
• Performs alignment of rotating machinery using dial indicators, preferably with laser alignment equipment.
• Applies welding and fabrication skills.
• Works any shift, including weekends and overtime.
• Works in various temperature extremes.
• Complies with company safety, personnel, and quality policies.

Requirements

• Experience in Millwright or Mechanical industry.
• Journeyman or equivalent in one or more of the following trades: Millwright, Machinist, Welding and Pipefitting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in welding and fabrication of stainless steel and carbon steel.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical principles (a plus).
• Experience rebuilding process equipment, such as pumps and gearboxes.
• Willingness to participate in skill enhancement programs.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work in and promote a team environment.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Must meet essential physical functions for the position.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Due to ITAR-controlled items, this position requires access to technical data and hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be a "U.S. person" (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees).

Pay

$35.60/hour. Scheduled wage increases at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months based on performance.

Schedule

12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, rotating between days and nights monthly. Shift pattern: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, providing every other weekend off.
