Maintenance Mechanic II

About the Role

Perform daily troubleshooting and repair of robotic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues associated with manufacturing processes. Provide technical assistance for special projects and support repair and maintenance of facilities, infrastructure, and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with a positive demeanor to all team members.
• Perform maintenance-related activities of equipment, buildings, and grounds safely and proficiently.
• Diagnose and repair complex equipment breakdowns; communicate with OEM vendors and external resources to resolve issues.
• Follow Standard Work and Operator Instructions/Training.
• Suggest and implement modifications to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Assist in designing and fabricating mechanical structures, guards, and special equipment.
• Attend training for maintenance of new and existing equipment.
• Operate lathes, vertical mills, pipe threaders, conduit benders, hydraulic presses, pneumatic and electric hand tools, material handling equipment, welders, plasma arc, and cutting torches safely and effectively.
• Provide technical support to project managers and engineers on special projects.
• Complete all required safety training.

Requirements

• Technical or associate degree or a minimum of 5–7 years of experience maintaining industrial equipment (robotics, controls, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
• Preferred experience with equipment and automation in sheet metal fabrication and painting operations; a technical or associate degree in a maintenance-related field is also preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and resolve complex issues systematically.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance codes and regulations (OSHA, Arc Flash, LOTO, NEC, etc.).
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and machine specifications.
• Solid PC familiarity, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to acquire and maintain certifications for operating service equipment (forklift, overhead crane, platform lift, boom lift, etc.).
• Flexibility to support both project work and daily maintenance needs.

• Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally ascend/descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and similar structures.
