Maintenance Mechanic II
About the Role
As the Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment and building components. Working alongside the Engineering Manager, you will diagnose problems, offer solutions, and act to ensure the safety, care, and comfort of staff and patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of skilled maintenance, including repairs to machinery, equipment, or facilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on hospital and plant equipment
- Execute miscellaneous work orders and answer trouble calls
- Accurately document and maintain records for the facility
- Perform routine electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance
- Assist in ordering parts and supplies needed for maintenance
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a large commercial, industrial, or healthcare facility as an electrician, HVAC and Plant Operator, or plumber with general and structural maintenance, modification, renovation, and interior construction
- Previous experience in general maintenance in a hospital or similar institution (preferred)
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Technical, vocational, or other equivalent education (preferred)
- Licensed or certified in HVAC, Electrical, Plant Operations, or Maintenance field (preferred)
