Maintenance Mechanic II

Responsibilities

• Corrective Maintenance - Perform work necessary to correct damaged equipment or a facility component within 24 hours.
• Emergency Maintenance - Respond to requests from the Departmental Work Control Center or customers to prevent harm or injury, and prevent extensive damage.
• Scheduled Maintenance - Use CMMS to prioritize and perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Service Request Maintenance - Perform non-emergency maintenance tasks as assigned by the Plant Engineering Work Control System.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid NC Driver's license if required
• Three (3) years of experience with maintenance and repair projects, including journeyman level experience

Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable standards and practices
• Ability to perform various types of maintenance and repair work
• Ability to prioritize and schedule tasks using CMMS
• Ability to respond to emergencies and perform urgent repairs
