Job Description

Maintain and repair faulty production and related plant equipment with the minimum amount of supervision using provided schematics, manuals, and drawings.

Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical problems, troubleshoot electrical issues, and implement preventative maintenance strategies.

Identify faulty parts and prepare requisitions for spares or replacements, ensuring proper nomenclature.

Be knowledgeable about spare parts storage and adhere to withdrawal and return procedures.

Show general working knowledge of machine shop equipment and possess team-oriented leadership qualities.

Maintain necessary records and follow established maintenance procedures to ensure a clean, safe working environment.

Perform additional specific duties assigned by the maintenance supervisor during each shift.

  • Operates motorized equipment and peripheral equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Utilizes standard hand tools and operates basic machine shop equipment.
  • Displays advanced mechanical aptitude and thorough knowledge of production technological methods and capabilities of machines and equipment.

Education & Experience

  • Three to five years of experience in a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational or trade school curriculum with a concentration in electro-mechanical courses preferred.

Other Duties

Additional specific duties related to each shift as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.

ADA – Essential Functions

  • Work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours, standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Climb and follow safety warnings, devices, and alarms.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Possess an adequate ability to solve problems and establish cause and effect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environment.
