Maintenance Mechanic II

Overview

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair services to support the organization's Facilities Maintenance (FM) functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing maintenance tasks under minimum supervision
• Working experience and knowledge of maintenance areas involving electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, building construction, and rough and finish carpentry
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions of complex nature, read and follow blueprints, schematics, maintenance manuals
• Valid driver's license in the state they reside, satisfactory driving record, and insurable under the corporate policy
• Ability to meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on the specified contract(s)
• Ability to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate

Physical Requirements

• May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions
• Most work will take place indoors
• Will work with cleaning chemicals
• Will be required to follow the Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements
• Schedules are subject to change
• Regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, and lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to assist in lifting equipment and move furniture when necessary; will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds
