MAINTENANCE MECHANIC I - OAHU
Duties Summary
Independently performs skilled mechanical repair work in the adjustment, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of machinery and equipment such as water pumps, mechanical laundry equipment, and continuing work assignments in accordance with diagrams.
Other duties include the inspection, repair and conducting preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment in tunnels and on tunnels approaches, to conduct and report on structural inspections of tunnels, and viaducts, reading operating manuals, while following the manufacturer's specifications, basic trade practices, and other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Legal Authorization To Work: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Experience and Training: THREE (3) YEARS of work experience in performing the mechanical repair and maintenance of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
