Maintenance Mechanic I

About the role

Days: Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm

Pay Range: $18.39/Hour – $24.83/Hour based on experience

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tasks and minor repairs within warehouse and office areas
• Conduct general equipment maintenance (scanners, battery room, cleaning photocells)
• Complete tenant improvement work: light plumbing, electrical, and room-finish repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance on conveyor systems and assist senior mechanics during breakdowns
• Maintain clean and orderly maintenance shop and battery room
• Ensure facility cleanliness and safety; collect recycled materials
• Fabricate custom equipment from wood, metal, and other materials
• Enter work orders, track repairs, and keep tools and documents current
• Adhere to lockout/tagout and other safety regulations

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum one year on-the-job experience in a related field or training with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certificate a plus
• Basic knowledge of common electrical and plumbing systems
• Working knowledge of hand and power tools
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work any shift including weekends if needed
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to work independently or in a team
• Ability to operate machinery and forklifts
• Good verbal and written communication skills
