About the role
Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing housing and services to seniors with a focus on quality care in a Christian environment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform light maintenance, repairs, and cleaning tasks safely and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Perform light maintenance and repairs using hand tools, meters, and gauges
- Interpret blueprints and schematics
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets engineering standards
- Assist management with department operations, including hiring, performance evaluations, and work delegation
- Supervise other maintenance staff
- Support preventive maintenance, parts inventory, and system documentation
- Perform mechanical system installation, grounds maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks
- Handle on-call responsibilities as needed
- Comply with all policies and safety standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Five years of building systems experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license may be required with a good driving record
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes
Skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge and proficiency with tools
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Problem-solving and leadership skills
- Strong communication and ability to work independently
