Maintenance Mechanic - Full-Time

About the role

Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing housing and services to seniors with a focus on quality care in a Christian environment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform light maintenance, repairs, and cleaning tasks safely and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance and repairs using hand tools, meters, and gauges
• Interpret blueprints and schematics
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets engineering standards
• Assist management with department operations, including hiring, performance evaluations, and work delegation
• Supervise other maintenance staff
• Support preventive maintenance, parts inventory, and system documentation
• Perform mechanical system installation, grounds maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks
• Handle on-call responsibilities as needed
• Comply with all policies and safety standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Five years of building systems experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license may be required with a good driving record
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes
