Maintenance Mechanic - Full Time

About the role

Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment for over 100 years. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for light repair, cleaning, and maintenance tasks performed safely and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct work quality inspections and ensure safety and efficiency
  • Assist with staff management, including hiring and performance evaluations
  • Oversee work orders and maintain documentation and inventory
  • Install and maintain mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and groundskeeping
  • Perform outside maintenance
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools, meters, and gauges
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Five years of building systems experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license may be required
  • Good communication skills and knowledge of codes and safety regulations

  • Ability to work independently and supervise others
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Performing diverse maintenance tasks across various systems and areas
