Maintenance Mechanic D

About the role

L3Harris is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional to perform a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks, inspect facilities and equipment, diagnose issues, and complete repairs to help prevent downtime and support daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of facility maintenance tasks, including carpentry, flooring, sheetrock repair, and painting.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility and production equipment.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical systems, and production machinery.
• Perform general welding, millwright, and carpentry activities as needed.
• Complete preventive, predictive, electro-mechanical, and mechanical maintenance assignments.
• Diagnose maintenance issues, exercise sound judgment, and recommend effective solutions.
• Provide guidance and task support to lower-level peers as needed.
• Maintain shop and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Follow established work procedures, safety standards, and company policies.
• Support overtime and other maintenance-related duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant maintenance experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related maintenance experience.
• Valid state issued Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.
• Some trade certifications may be needed.
