About the role

We are hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance team! As Maintenance Mechanic, we’ll rely on you to perform inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and servicing of shop and production equipment, components, and machinery, to help keep us up and running, well-positioned to produce our industry-leading Hot Spring® Spas, Caldera® Spas, Endless Pools®, Freeflow Spas®, and Fantasy Spas® products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and servicing of shop and production equipment, components, and machinery.
  • Identify root causes of various issues and repair equipment to the highest Quality standard.
  • Proactively perform preventative maintenance to all production and building equipment, such as mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, basic electrical systems, motors and motor controls, and CNC/PLC control systems.
  • Take initiative to resolve issues using critical thinking skills.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement by actively contributing to streamlining processes.
  • Work in accordance with Safety and Maintenance programs, including LOTO, Arc Flash Prevention, Fall Prevention, and Total Productive Maintenance.
  • Provide excellent customer service by keeping production equipment and building systems operating as needed, performing scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled servicing and repairs as required.
  • Prioritize Quality by planning and coordinating equipment improvements and upgrades that improve safety, productivity, and Quality, and reduce operating costs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), at least 7 years’ maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using MS Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Ability to prepare and review work orders, material requisitions, reports, and other documentation.
  • Understanding of basic electrical theory, including OHMS law, and ability to demonstrate understanding of simple circuits, both AC and DC, up to 480 Volts.
  • Understanding of basic fluid power principles (hydraulics and pneumatics) such as the difference between flow and pressure and how to calculate force of a cylinder.
  • Understanding of basic mechanical principles, such as how to change the speed of a rotating assembly and how to calculate the force needed to move an object.
  • Fabrication skills, including the ability to perform repair welding and basic drilling, bolting, and torquing for various fasteners.
  • Lead and participate in the design and fabrication of metal structures (brackets, supports, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization, including the ability to present information to a group of co-workers, supervisors, managers, or higher-level executives.
  • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, as well as within a strong team environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 7 years’ maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Hiring Range: $26.25 - $41.00
