About the Role
This position oversees the performance and maintenance of large production machinery in a manufacturing setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
- Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
- Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Prepares reports documenting work performed.
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
- Collaborates with the product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
- Makes necessary modifications and implements test runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Electrical and maintenance skills are a must.

- Skills in reading blueprints, fabrication, and welding.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Electrical certification is required.
- Basic hydraulic knowledge is required.
- Four to five years in a maintenance position.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop or kneel.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
- Must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime required as dictated by the workload.
Some travel may be required.
