Maintenance Mechanic
At the Mary Campbell Center, home to 68 residents, staff deliver high-quality services in a homelike environment where residents live with respect, personal dignity, and independence. The Maintenance Mechanic assists the Director of Facilities in performing repairs and maintenance to the building, grounds, and vehicle operations. This role requires reliability, efficiency, and respect for residents, staff, families, volunteers, and the physical environment.

Requirements
- Be a person of high character who consistently works with a positive attitude and demonstrates compassion and understanding for residents with varying degrees of disability
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and skill in the use of tools required to complete tasks
- Ability to perform basic maintenance repairs for vehicles, lawn, garden, and snow removal equipment
- Ability to lift, push, or pull equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance or a related trade
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including assigned monthly audits, general repairs, and preventive maintenance to the building and grounds
- Complete basic repairs to electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems throughout the building
- Complete maintenance work orders
- Become Guldmann certified to work on ceiling lifts (certification provided by the facility)
- Perform maintenance and repair on all wheelchairs
- Perform general maintenance on vehicles and grounds equipment
- Assist with grounds keeping and snow removal as needed
- Participate in the Maintenance-On-Call rotation
- Assist with transportation of residents when necessary
- Ensure OSHA standards are maintained while performing all duties
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary
