Maintenance Mechanic

Buffalo. Maintenance Mechanic. Tapecon, Inc. FT. 1st Shift. Benefits. Constructs and installs fixtures, repairs and adjusts production equipment, and assures optimum equipment operation. Monitors routine preventative maintenance and maintains equipment logbook and spare parts inventory. Responsible for the continual and trouble-free operation of all production equipment in order to maximize the efficiency of production at Tapecon by performing the following duties personally or through assistant personnel. Maintains and supports general facility infrastructure and mechanical systems, including air quality, plumbing, and electrical systems. Essential Functions Where ISO procedures are inaccurate, work with supervision and engineering to facilitate document changesPerform preventative and corrective maintenance on all manufacturing equipment and mechanical systemsObserve machinery in operation to identify causes of malfunctionDismantle equipment to access and remove defective componentsAdjust mechanical devices and control instrumentsInstall structural and functional parts on machineryTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems to minimize downtimePerform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actionsMaintain Tapecons mechanical systems (i.e., air quality, plumbing, electrical)Coordinate repair contractors when necessaryHelps coordinate in-house construction projects with appropriate personnelTrain machine operators in the proper daily, weekly or monthly maintenance of their equipment as neededMaintains accurate maintenance recordsOperates equipment and machinery to test their performance.Submits purchase order requests for parts, materials, and equipment.Coordinates Tapecons preventative maintenance programAssist other maintenance mechanics, engineers and operators on projects and major repairs as neededMaintains cleanliness of work area and equipment Education And Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED): or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience To Apply, Contact The Employer On-line Web-site: http://www.tapecon.com/careers
