Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
• Maintain motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, valves, fillers, cappers, and labelers.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
• Support sanitation and clean-in-place systems.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication when needed.
• Follow safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Work with production employees to reduce downtime.
• Record completed work, parts used, and maintenance activity in the CMMS.
• Keep tools and work areas clean and safe.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Technical or vocational training preferred.
• Two to five years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical skills and basic electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Basic computer and CMMS skills.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Beverage, food, or packaging equipment experience is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical and Work Requirements

• Work in a fast-paced and sometimes loud manufacturing environment.
• Wear required protective equipment.
• Stand, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, and work with tools for extended periods.
• Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Work safely around moving machinery and equipment.
