Core Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain shop machines and equipment
- Analyze problems with various equipment and machines
- Ability to recommend cost-effective solutions
- Working knowledge of repair and maintenance on Motors, Controls, Hydraulics, and Pneumatic equipment
- Work with minimum supervision
- Climb to do repairs with no fear of heights
- Keeps work area organized and clean
- Must adhere to and follow all safety rules and PPE requirements
Education/Training
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- At least 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Specialized Knowledge
- Certificates & Licenses
- Equipment Knowledge & Skills – may include but not limited to various shop hand tools and maintenance repair equipment
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, such as reports and repair orders to further provide documentation of completed tasks and future upgrades on equipment
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to in-depth understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard and non-standardized situations
- Ability to learn things quickly
