The Basics Location: Port Arthur, TX Days/Hours: M-F, occasional nights and weekends as needed These are just a few of the benefits you can expect from working with Savage: Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, Profit Sharing, and 401(k) with match.Uniform Services Time Off (USTO)Uniform Services Differential PayA culture that appreciates Team Members What You’ll Be Doing Practice and abide by site-specific and company safety procedures and rulesMust understand and implement the Savage Maintenance ProgramPerform a pre/post shift equipment inspectionsMaintain and report spare parts inventoryProperly record and complete maintenance reports and service recordsRepair and maintain pumps, motors, hydraulics, mobile and plant specific equipmentMaintain good relations and open communication with coworkers and management via radio and other proper meansMaintain a clean work environment by removing trash and debris from all areas of responsibility including structures, offices, restrooms, break rooms, vehicles, etc.Complete PM services on plant and process equipmentKnowledge of riggingMust be willing to perform any other special tasks assigned by management Requirements To Be Successful Experience with repairing and maintaining bridge cranes and coke cutting equipmentAt least 3-5+ years of experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair.Knowledge and working experience with different types of welding and cutting.Must be able to periodically work at heights of up to but not limited to 150’.Practices and understands time management, is a self-starter with a positive outlook. Must have a strong mechanical background.Refinery or Industrial Plant Operations: experience with high safety standards and regulations associated with hazardous industrial plant environments.Experience with hydraulic operated hoist and drilling equipment Preferred Qualifications Boiler maker skills a plusKnowledge of SAP {CMMS)Experience with automated equipment and basic computers are a plus.Additional experience operating back hoe, front end loader, dozer, or other heavy equipment is a plus.
