Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

Coordinates and directs the design, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.

Compensation & Schedule

Hourly - based on experience
Monday - Friday (full-time, non-exempt)

What You Will Do

• Provides for maintenance of existing plant facilities and equipment in collaboration with Plant Manager who will make recommendations for replacement or adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
• Aids in maintaining preventative maintenance programs.
• Aids with HVAC systems, electrical/ lighting systems, plumbing systems, computer wiring, security services, janitorial services and other factors.
• Performs audits to support facility safety.
• Engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventative maintenance.
• Safety, LOCK OUT TAG OUT, HAZMAT training

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to the Director of Facilities. This relationship is critical.
Strong, trusting, supportive and collaborative relationships with all members of management are essential to success.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk and hear.
• The employee may occasionally lift and/or move 25 to 40 pounds.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• The work is done primarily in a manufacturing environment.
• The noise level will range from quiet to high.
• Overtime as required.
